The absentee ballot: How to register and make your vote from overseas in the Australian Federal Election.
Australian citizens living overseas in Spain are eligible to vote by absentee
ballot in the Federal Election.
- You can confirm your enrolled address and get other election-related
information, from the Australian Electoral Commission

Registering as an overseas elector
An Australian enrolled and registered as an elector in Australia may register as an
overseas elector if:
- they have been out of the country no more than three years and intend to return within six
years

Enrolling as an overseas elector
An Australian who is not already enrolled, who left less than three years ago
and intends to return within six years can apply for enrolment from outside
Australia.
