The bus network in Valencia serves 52 routes. It is controlled by the Valencian Metropolitan Transportation Company (Entitat de Transport Metropolità de Valencia, or ETM).

Urban Bus System (EMT)

The bus system within the city of Valencia is run by the Valencia Municipal Transport Company (Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Valencia - EMT).

Tickets

EMT has a variety of discount tickets for citizens over 65 years of age or retired, disabled people and youths. Discount cards are also available. Some tickets can be also used on other transport, including the Metro. Single (one-way) tickets (billetes sencillos) can be bought on the bus; cards are sold at tobacconists and kiosks.

Valencia Tourist Card (VLC)

The Valencia Tourist Card entitles the holder to free public transport in the city of Valencia (zone A) and discounts for museum visits, leisure activities, shops and restaurants. Establishments that accept the discount card will display a sticker.

Cards are sold at hotels, kiosks and tourist offices and are valid for a period of one, two or three days. The card is activated when used for the first time on public transport or when a date is stamped at a sales point. It is valid until midnight on the expiry date.
